Trainerize Alternatives for Online Coaches (2026): Pricing & Options
Trainerize is strong at managing clients and priced per client. If your problem is turning followers into buyers, that's a different tool. Here's both sides.

The short answer
- You manage 1-on-1 clients and need programming, progress tracking and messaging: stay on Trainerize, or look at TrueCoach or Everfit.
- You sell programs and memberships to followers: use a link-in-bio platform built for fitness, like FitTribe — no monthly fee, and buyers get a daily tracker.
- You sell courses: Kajabi.
- You just need a store: Stan Store or Beacons — see Stan Store vs Beacons vs FitTribe.
What Trainerize is (and isn't)
Trainerize (now ABC Trainerize) is coaching software: you build workout programs, assign them to named clients, track their progress, message them, and handle nutrition. It's strong at that, and trainers with a full roster rely on it.
What it isn't is a shop window. It doesn't turn a follower who saw your reel into a buyer in two taps. That's a different job, and it's why many coaches end up paying for both.
Trainerize pricing, plainly
| Plan | Price | Clients |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free | 1 client |
| Grow | $9/mo | 2 clients |
| Pro | from $23/mo to about $225/mo | 5–200 |
| Studio Plus | $248/mo | Larger studios |
Two things to note: the price rises with your client count, and taking payments through Stripe is an add-on at $10/month on Grow and Pro. There's a 30-day trial. Other add-ons (branded app, advanced nutrition) cost more, so check the current list before budgeting.
Why coaches look for a Trainerize alternative
- Cost grows as you grow. More clients, higher monthly bill — payable in slow months too.
- Add-ons stack up. Payments, nutrition and a branded app are separate line items.
- It doesn't sell for you. Getting followers to buy still needs a page with prices and checkout.
- It's heavy for simple offers. If you sell one program and a membership, a full client-management system is more than you need.
The alternatives
FitTribe — for selling to followers, with a tracker buyers actually use
- Your bio link sells guides, programs, memberships and 1-on-1 calls.
- Buyers get daily workouts and meals, streaks and check-ins — the part Trainerize does for clients, but for everyone who buys.
- No monthly fee; 14% per sale, on everything.
- Not for you if you need to write individual programs for named clients week by week.
TrueCoach — the closest like-for-like
Client-first coaching software: programming, video review, messaging, on a monthly subscription that scales with clients. Check current pricing on their site.
Everfit — client management with more automation
Similar territory, with automation and habit coaching. Also subscription-based, priced by client count.
Kajabi — if you're building courses
Courses, memberships, email and a website on one subscription. Heavier and pricier than either category above.
Stan Store or Beacons — a general creator store
Sell digital products and bookings from a storefront. Stan is $29–$99 a month; Beacons has a free plan that takes a cut of sales. Neither has fitness tracking for buyers.

Which should you use?
- Under 10 clients, mostly selling programs: you probably don't need coaching software yet.
- A full 1-on-1 roster: Trainerize, TrueCoach or Everfit earn their fee.
- Growing an audience and want it to buy: a selling page comes first.
- Both: see below.
Using both without paying twice
A common setup: FitTribe as the front door — where followers discover you, see prices and buy — and coaching software for the handful of 1-on-1 clients who need individual programming. You only pay the coaching software for the clients who need it, while everything else sells with no monthly fee.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to Trainerize?
It depends what you need. For managing 1-on-1 clients, TrueCoach and Everfit are the closest like-for-like options. For selling programs and memberships to your Instagram followers, a link-in-bio platform built for fitness — like FitTribe — fits better, with no monthly fee.
How much does Trainerize cost?
Per Trainerize's own pricing page in October 2026: a free Basic plan for 1 client, Grow at $9/month for 2 clients, Pro from $23/month for 5 clients rising with client count, and Studio Plus at $248/month. Taking payments through Stripe is an add-on at $10/month on the lower plans.
Is there a free alternative to Trainerize?
Trainerize itself has a free plan for one client. If your goal is selling rather than client management, FitTribe has no monthly fee at all — just 14% per sale.
Can I use Trainerize to sell to my Instagram followers?
You can take payments through it, but it's built around clients you already have, not around turning followers into buyers. There's no storefront that shows your prices and sells in one tap from your bio.
Do I need coaching software at all?
Not at the start. If you're selling programs and memberships to an audience, a page that sells and delivers them is enough. Add client-management software when you have enough 1-on-1 clients to need it.
